Tune of the Month

To help beginners, and more experienced pipers alike, the idea of a 'tune of the month' was suggested. Ideas for each months tune are welcomed from all members, but lets try to select tunes which are reasonably accessible to improvers as well as interesting to old hands. At each SDUP meeting, a short period of time could be set aside for discussion of the tune as well as its variations and applicable ornamentation. As such, after a year, there is the potential for most people to have 12 new tunes under their belt.

For the October 2012 meeting: Spending some time looking at common piping ornamentation
For the November 2012 meeting: Hardiman the Fiddler
For the December 2012 meeting: The Ladies Cup of Tea
For the January 2013 meeting: Mama's Pet
